Lions of Fire is a three piece from the Bay Area. Josh Falcon on lead guitar, Jordan Walker on bass and other instruments where the songs need them, Martin Olguin on drums. Josh and Martin recently graduated from CSU East Bay as music majors in their instruments. Martin teaches music part time. The three of us met at CSUEB and clicked on the first jam, about a year ago.

We come from three different musical backgrounds. Josh writes from rock and metal. Jordan plays a lot of jazz, with funk and folk in the mix. Martin keeps a latin pulse under everything. When we lock in, the song ends up somewhere none of us would have written on our own. The course of a storm. Loud, fast, dangerous, and quiet at the strangest moments.

Our influences live in a few different places at once. Dream Theater and King Crimson on the architecture side. Megadeth and Metallica for weight. Pink Floyd for the breath between the heavy parts. Casiopea for the rhythmic precision. Live, we move between composed sections and open improvisation without losing the thread.

We played our first show at Stay Gold in Oakland on April 30, 2026. We're writing toward an EP or a full album by 2027, recording live performances along the way, and looking for a singer and a keyboardist to expand what we can do on stage. Booking inquiries welcome. We show up early, change over clean, and bring our own crowd.
